QRDI Knowledge Transfer Partnership
The Knowledge Transfer Partnership Qatar (KTP-Q) program is an external funding opportunity supported by QRDI. It facilitates collaboration between knowledge institutes, such as HBKU, and businesses in Qatar, who contribute financially alongside QRDI. This collaboration aims to address business challenges through knowledge transfer from academic experts to an 'Associate,' typically a graduate with a graduate degree, enabling project implementation, business improvement, and future commercial contracts between the knowledge institute and the business partner.
Program Highlights:
- → Collaboration: Connects Qatari businesses with academic and research experts to address specific business challenges.
- → Expertise Transfer: Transfers specialized knowledge from universities to companies through the mentorship and hiring of Graduate Associates to deliver the project.
- → Innovation Enhancement: Focuses on developing new or improving products, processes, and services within participating companies.
- → Competitiveness: Strengthens the market position of Qatari businesses through applied research and development.
- → Funding: Up to QAR 500,000 from QRDI with a matching contribution from the industry partner depending on the business partner size.
- → Timeline: Up to 3 years.
